Get Offa My Cloud is the second segment of the twenty-second episode of the first season of Dragon Tales.
Summary[]
Cassie, Ord, and Emmy plant a garden, but Max just messes things up. When wonder water sends Max shooting into the sky on a cloud, he meets a small troll named Squink and has to find his own way to get down.
Plot[]
Emmy is busy planting carrot seeds for a school assignment, but the seeds are taking a long time to grow. So to pass the time, the kids decide to go to Dragon Land.
Once they arrive, the kids, along with Ord and Cassie, decide to plant a garden, using the carrot seeds Emmy brought, but also a wide variety of fruits and vegetables as well. But when trying to help, Max ends up making a mess of things, including messing up the rows with his shovel and collecting the sticks they were using for signs. Emmy, fed up with Max’s mistakes, tells him to just sit and watch. Max begins to feel like he can’t do anything right.
Later, Cassie comes back with a pail full of wonder water. She offers to let Max help with that, but Max decides he doesn’t want to help anymore. But what he doesn’t hear is that they’re only supposed to use one drop of the water on each plant.
With the garden all watered, Emmy, Cassie, and Ord head out to have lunch while they wait. But Max decides to stay behind, still feeling bad about what he did. With everyone gone, Max goes to check on the garden. He finds that the plants seem to be taking forever to grow, so he decides to help by giving them more wonder water. However, since he didn’t listen to Cassie’s instructions, he pours too much which causes a giant stalk to grow out of the ground, carrying him up into the sky and into the clouds. Once he lands on a cloud, he meets a small fellow named Squink, who got stuck up there after floating in a soap bubble long ago. Max offers to help him down, but before he can climb back down the stalk, a strong wind comes in and blows the cloud away.
Meanwhile, the others head back to the garden. But when they do, they are surprised to find out that not only did everything grow a little too fast, but Max was nowhere to be found. After noticing the huge stalk, they come to the conclusion that he was taken into the sky and begin to search for him.
Back on top of the cloud, Max is trying to figure out how to get back down to the ground. But without Emmy or any of his friends, Max finds it difficult to come up with an idea. He also still feels bad that he might mess up again. However, Squink encourages him to try, and Max goes back to thinking. While doing so, he bumps Squink into the watering can and the wonder water causes his beard to grow so long, it nearly touches the ground, which gives Max an idea. Remembering what Emmy told him about carrots growing down instead of up, he plants some carrot seeds into the cloud and pours some wonder water onto it, which makes it grow into a giant carrot. Max then takes his little friend and slides down to the ground.
While searching for Max, Ord notices the carrot in the cloud. When Emmy gets a closer look, she sees Max sliding down on it. When they catch up to him, Max introduces them to Squink, who tells them that Max is the one who saved him. Emmy feels relieved to have her brother back safe and sound and Max is left feeling like a big help and a big hero.
Once the kids get back home, Emmy notices that her carrot still hasn’t grown. Max thinks that it needs more water, but when he tries to help, the can ends up spilling water onto their shoes. Max then laughs, saying it might give them "really big feet".
