Dialogue[]

  • Cassie: Help! Oh help! The mean knights are attacking the castle!
  • Ord: Don’t worry, Princess Cassie! Some brave hero will come to save us!
  • Zak: Wait Max! Didn’t you hear that?
  • Max: Hear what?
  • Zak: Someone yelling.
  • [The others head over to the grass and discover the mess Max had made.]
  • Cassie: Oh no! You ran over the Nodlings’ mush trees!
  • [In the grass, the Nodlings are all shouting in anger.]
  • Max: What are they saying?
  • Wheezie: Uh, they’re really mad.
  • Zak: Because you broke their wagon.
  • Cassie: And now they don’t have anything to carry their mush trees in.
  • Max: What’s a mush tree?
  • Ord: It’s like a mushroom, only it’s a tree. Well, not to the big dragons like us, but to the little Nodlings, these are really huge. And they cut them down, and eat their fruit and chop them up into firewood to keep themselves warm in the winter. But without their wagon, the Nodlings won’t have anything to carry their mush trees home. And then they’ll be cold and even worse…….hungry.
  • Giant of Nod: [offscreen] What’s going on there?!
  • Ord: [frightened] It’s the Giant of Nod!
  • [The Giant of Nod makes his way through the grass right up to the dragons.]
  • Wheezie: Huh, I still can’t believe you’re a giant. You’re so small. [Laughs]
  • Zak: Wheezie!
  • [The giant takes out a megaphone.]
  • Giant of Nod: Maybe to you, but to my Nodlings, I’m GIGANTIC!!!!
  • [The Nodlings show him the broken wagon, which makes him furious.]
  • Giant of Nod: WHO DID THIS!?!?
  • [Everybody glares towards Max]
  • Max: [nervously] Uh, I guess I did. Sorry.
  • Giant of Nod: Sorry isn’t good enough! I demand that you fix our wagon IMMEDIATELY!!!!
  • Max: I didn’t mean to break it. It was an accident. Uh, can we just forget about it?
  • Giant of Nod: And leave my Nodlings with no way to gather mush trees? NEVER!!!!!
  • Cassie: The Giant of Nod is right, Max. It’s not okay to just keep on playing.
  • Emmy: Yeah. Cassie warned you to be careful in the tall grass.
  • Max: Okay. Okay. I’ll fix their silly wagon.
  • [Max takes the wagon and tries to fix it, but finds it difficult.]
  • Max: Can you help me?
  • Zak: Sure.
  • Ord: You betcha!
  • Emmy: Definitely.
  • [Ord takes some glue out of his pouch.]
  • Ord: I have some glue!
  • [Wheezie takes out a roll of tape]
  • Wheezie: And here’s some tape.
  • Zak: Uh, careful with that, Wheezie! You’ll—
  • [Wheezie wraps their hands together with the tape.]
  • Zak: Make a mess.
  • [Wheezie laughs.]
  • Giant of Nod: NOW LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE!!!!!
  • Max: Uh-oh!
  • Zak: Bad idea!
  • Ord: Oopsie!
  • Cassie: Ooh!
  • Giant of Nod: THIS WON’T DO AT ALL!!!!!
  • Wheezie: [nervously] Don’t worry Mr Tiny Giant Sir. We’ll have it good as new in no time. Won’t we, Zaky?
  • Zak: I doubt it.
  • [Wheezie picks up the wagon and examines it.]
  • Wheezie: Hmm, the wheels are sticky. That’s all.
  • Zak: Well, what do you put on sticky wheels to make them un-sticky?
  • Ord: My mom uses peanut butter to take chewing gum off my scales.
  • [Ord takes a jar of peanut butter out of his pouch.]
  • Wheezie: LOOOOOVE IT!
  • [Everyone is curious to see how this’ll work. However, the peanut butter only seems to add to the problem.]
  • Wheezie: Hmmm……still sticky.
  • Wheezie: Okay, just zip around to the front of the wagon. (Attaches the zipmunk to the wagon) There you go. Now all you have to do is drop a few peanuts here and there and when the zipmunk tries to get them, he’ll pull your wagon so you can pick up all your mush trees.
  • [The Nodlings make a trail of peanuts for the zipmunk to follow.]
  • Wheezie: Okay, Mr. Zipmunk, go get 'em!
  • [The Zipmunk pulls the wagon, and the Nodlings cut down mush trees and put them in the wagon.]
  • Cassie: It's working!
  • Zak: Way to go, Wheezie!
  • Ord: You did it!
  • Emmy: [giggles]
  • Giant of Nod: Well, that's more like it!
  • [A Nodling trips and loses the peanut.]
  • Emmy: Oh, no!
  • Max: I’ll get him another peanut.
  • Cassie: Don’t throw it, Max! The Zipmunk will—!
  • [Max doesn’t listen and throws the peanut in a distance.]
  • Zak: I hear the Nodlings!
  • [Ord reaches into Sid’s trunk]
  • Ord: Almost……..
  • [The zipmunk sees his hand and runs away. The wagon distaches and the nodlings fall into Ord’s hand.]
  • Ord: Got ‘em!
  • [Ord takes his hand out of the tree. Upon opening his hand, the Nodlings appear unharmed, but the wagon is completely destroyed.]
  • Wheezie: The Nodlings are okay……..
  • Zak: But their wagon’s totaled!
  • [The giant walks up to Max, looking very angry.]
  • Max: Guess I shouldn’t have thrown that peanut, huh? I’m really sorry.
  • Giant of Nod: Sorry, shmorry! What do you plan to do about the damage you caused?!
  • Max: I don’t know. I have to figure something out. What can I do to help them get food and stay warm?
  • Sid: Hmm, I don’t know. I’m stumped. [Laughs] Get it? Tree? Stumped? Heh, you gotta admit, that’s funny.
  • [Sid stops laughing as he sees that no one else is.]
  • Ord: Maybe the Nodlings can eat something besides mush trees. [Pulls some cheese out of his pouch.] Like some cheese.
  • [Ord sets the cheese on the ground. The nodlings sniff it, but don’t seem to like it and run away.]
  • Zak: [sighs] it’s no use.
  • Emmy: We better head home, Max.
  • Max: But what about the Nodlings?
  • Ord: Maybe you can think of something tonight and come back tomorrow.
  • Max: Nuh-Uh! I’m not leaving until I fix what I messed up!
  • [Max pushes his bulldozer and back part of it falls off.]
  • Ord: Oh no! I broke your toy!
  • Max: [gets an idea] Hey! I know what the Nodlings can use for a wagon: this!
  • [The Nodlings examine the new wagon and immediately take a liking to it.]
  • Zak: I think they like it.
  • Wheezie: Are you kidding? They loooovve it!
