Dialogue[]

  • [The episode begins with Max sitting next to the playroom window, looking very bored.]
  • Max: When are mommy and daddy going to get up?
  • [Max takes a ball that’s sitting right next to him and tosses it towards the door. Emmy comes through the door and picks it up.]
  • Emmy: Hey, you’re up too?
  • Max: Yep. How long before breakfast?
  • Emmy: Forever.
  • [Max sighs and places his right hand on his cheek, realizing that it's probably the weekend, and therefore their parents sleep longer.]
  • Emmy: Hey! I have an idea: Dragon Land!!
  • [Max happily hops off the ledge]
  • Max: Dragon Land?! Yeah!!
  • Emmy: [whispering] So quiet.
  • Max: Guess everyone’s asleep here too.
  • [Just then, both of them get startled by the sound of banging.]
  • Max: What’s that?
  • Emmy: It’s coming from the knuckerhole. Let’s check it out.
  • [Emmy goes over to the knuckerhole, but notices that Max is still behind.]
  • Emmy: What’s wrong, Max?
  • [Max has a frightened look on his face.]
  • Emmy: You scared?
  • Max: Scared? Me, scared?! Of course not. I’m big!
  • [As Max walks over to the knuckerhole, the noise starts getting louder and louder, which makes Max jump in fright.]
  • Max: Uh, can I hold your hand?
  • Emmy: Sure. 1, 2, 3, jump!
  • [The two of them jump in and slide down.]
  • Both: Whoooaaaahhhh!!!!
  • Max: I think the noise is coming from Zak and Wheezie’s cave.
  • Emmy: Let’s take a peek.
  • [They get closer and closer to the source: Zak and Wheezie's room, where Zak's head is not visible due to being under his pillow, and (this is the source of the noise) Wheezie is banging on three pots and pans very loudly.]
  • Max and Emmy: Wheezie?
  • Wheezie: Hi, Emmy!! Hi, Max!!
  • Emmy: What's going on?!
  • Max: How come you're awake?
  • Zak: [He gets his head up from under his pillow, revealing that he has a cyanish-white night cap with thin, yellow, vertical stripes on it] Oh, I'm awake, all right! But did I have a choice?! No! Wheezie kept me up all night!!!
  • Emmy: You've been practicing all night?!
  • Wheezie: Yup, and I'm gettin' really good!
  • Max: Where are your mommy and daddy?
  • Wheezie: [Stops for a bit] Asleep! [She keeps banging on the pots and pans some more. Max and Emmy cover their ears.]
  • Emmy: With all this racket?!
  • Zak: They can sleep through anything!
  • Wheezie: They ♪LOOOOVE ♪ music!!!!
  • Zak: Please!!! No more practicing! Let's have breakfast. This is such a big day!!!
  • Wheezie: Sure, Zaky!
  • [Dissolve to the kitchen table where Zak, Wheezie, Max, and Emmy are each eating a bowl of a pink scale-like cereal. Zak is stirring his spoon.]
  • Zak: Ah, my favorite. A nice, healthy breakfast...
  • [Some green scale-like cereal has fallen into his bowl.]
  • Zak: Hey!! My Drags Flakes!! What are you doing?!
  • [It is revealed that they are coming from an open box of a different kind of cereal, mostly tilted upside-down as Wheezie is looking through it.]
  • Wheezie: Looking for the prize.
  • [The box appears to have an alligator-like dragon dressed like a pirate in red.]
  • Zak: But you wrecked my breakfast!!!
  • Wheezie: I just gotta find that prize!!
  • [More of the green cereal is being poured onto the table as Emmy is shown asking this.]
  • Emmy: What's wrong, Zak?
  • Zak: This is a very important day! I have to find the rare jugglebug for sharing time at school!!
  • Max: A juggiebuggie? [Laughs]
  • Zak: Do you know what "rare" means? It means very, very, very hard to find!
  • Emmy: Uh, I, uh--
  • Zak: Practically impossible! I have to be in tip-top shape to find one. And am I?
  • Max: Well, you--
  • Zak: No! No sleep, no breakfast, and to top it all off, I can't even find my magnifying glass!!
  • Wheezie: Oh, I think I borrowed that.
  • Zak: Well, where is it, then?
  • Wheezie: Um... somewhere.
  • Zak: "Somewhere"?! But I need to find the jugglebug!
  • Wheezie: Hmm... oh, okay. [She tries rummaging through her side of the pouch] I can't find it. How about this?!
  • [Wheezie pulls out a flyswatter.]
  • Zak: [angrily] That does it!
  • [Zak gets very angry and reaches into their pouch and pulls out a red and white striped cone and puts it over his head.]
  • Wheezie: [distraught] No!! Not That!! [Crying] Anything but that!!
  • Emmy: Not what?
  • Wheezie: It’s the [whispering] alone cone. A two-headed dragon uses it when one head doesn’t want to hear or see the other, like when one is really, really bugging the other one.
  • Emmy: Ooh, I could use an alone cone sometimes, [getting annoyed by Max loudly slurping his bowl.] Max! Like when I’m trying to color and you’re making a ton of noise, [Max continues to slurp loudly.] Max!
  • Max: [finally stops and puts his bowl down] Me?
  • Wheezie: I don’t get it. Zak must be really mad at me to wear the alone cone.
  • Max: [glaring at Emmy] Well, sometimes sisters can really bug you.
  • Emmy: [glaring at Max] Brothers, too!
  • [The two brother-sister pairs are taking a walk outside with Zak still wearing the alone cone on his head.]
  • Max: Emmy, how is Zak gonna find the rare Juggiebuggie with that thing on his head?
  • Wheezie: I can't believe you're still not talkin' to me, Zak! Please take that silly thing off!
  • [Zak does take the cone off his head, but is still very angry.]
  • Zak: I can't hear a word you're saying, and no, I will not take this silly thing off!
  • [Zak angrily puts the cone back on his head.]
  • Wheezie: [turns to both Emmy and Max] Why is Zakie so mad at me?
  • Emmy: Well, you made him angry.
  • Wheezie: [in disbelief] Me?! Are you kidding? Name one thing I could possibly have done to make Zak so mad!
  • Max: Well, you kept him up all night with your banging.
  • Wheezie: Okay. Name two things I could’ve done.
  • Emmy: You ruined his breakfast.
  • Max: And you lost his magnifying glass!
  • Wheezie: [feeling guilty] You—You really think that’s why Zak’s mad?!
  • [Although Zak's still very angry, he takes the cone off his head.]
  • Zak: I can't hear you, but yes, that's why!
  • [He angrily puts the cone back on again.]
  • Wheezie, Max, Emmy: Rare! We know! We know!
  • Wheezie: Is this it?
  • Zak: Of course not! That’s a spinypine. They’re not rare. Look at all of them. We’re looking for a teeny, teeny bug that makes a very unusual sound.
  • Emmy: What kind of a sound?
  • Max: Mommy and Daddy have to be up by now.
  • Emmy: I think it's still pretty early, Max.
  • [Max sighs.]
  • Emmy: Well, I'm gonna do some coloring for a while.
