The Giant of Nod is the first segment of the seventh episode of the first season of Dragon Tales. In this episode, Zak and Wheezie are about to become musical idols.

Summary[]

Zak and Wheezie practice for tonight's concert hosted by Quetzal at Singing Springs, however they bicker over various songs they wanted to play and disturb the nap of a twelve-inch creature known eponymously as "The Giant of Nod", that trapp them in a tree trunk, so it's up to them to save the gang so they can make it to the concert.

  • When Max and Emmy fight over the firefighter's hat, a splotch of white paint can be seen behind Max for a split second.
  • When the series was made available for Amazon Prime, it is titled Giant of Not.
  • Among belongings Ord scoops out trying to look for a snack while the gang are trapped, is a #1 pool ball. The mistake is that the outer part is green. In billiards, that number ball is yellow, while it is the 6 ball and the stripe on the 14 ball that are green.

Notes and Trivia[]

This episode marked:

  • Zak and Wheezie sing the lullaby "Rock-a-Bye Baby". Wheezie's version is strong and loud while it is then Zak's version is gentle and soft (each on their own style).
  • Some of the scenes with the music notes are would use for the show’s opening intro.
  • During Zak and Wheezie's discussion, it's revealed that Wheezie is the older twin because her head hatched from the egg three seconds before Zak's when they came into the world.
  • The first time someone other than Ord had their dragon badge glow. In this case, it's Zak and Wheezie.
  • The third episode where the dragons call the children to Dragon Land, the first two being "Knot a Problem" and "Zak's Song" but the second where any of the dragons hold the glowing scale as they wait, the first one, once again, being "Knot a Problem".
  • "Rock-a-Bye Baby" is Zak and Wheezie's duet.
