Dialogue[]

  • [The episode starts out in the playroom, where Emmy is looking through a magnifying glass, including the snack table, right up to Max’s face.]
  • Emmy: Ooooh! Max, you look huge. [laughs]
  • Max: So do you. What is this Emmy?
  • Emmy: It's a magnifying glass, it's part of my new detective kit.
  • Max: Hey, let's show it to our friends in Dragon Land.
  • Emmy: That's just what I was going to say.
  • Emmy and Max: I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with Dragons, in a land apart.
  • Max: It’s a defective kit.
  • Emmy: That’s detective kit.
  • Wheezie: My Zaky, what big eyes you have.
  • Zak: And Wheezie, what a big mouth you have.
  • [Wheezie growls]
  • Zak: Ooops! Sorry.
  • Cassie: [suspicious] Cyrus. What are you doing?
  • Cyrus: Me? Oh nothing.
  • Max: Wow! Red and blue sparkles! Cool bow tie.
  • Cyrus: Thanks.
  • Ord: Why are you so dressed up?
  • Cyrus: Well today is a very special day. I’m going on a treasure hunt.
  • Emmy: A treasure hunt?
  • Cyrus: Mmm-Hmmm. And what are you all doing today?
  • Wheezie: We’re going to use Emmy’s new detective kit to solve a mystery.
  • Zak: Yeah. As soon as we find a mystery to solve.
  • Norm: 104, 105, ooh! 106, 10—
  • Cassie: Hey! It’s Norm, the number gnome.
  • Ord: What are you doing here?
  • Norm: I’m counting all the leaves on the tree. I’ve been sitting here all day. 107, 108……
  • Emmy: Have you seen Cyrus the serpent?
  • Max: He took Emmy’s detective kit. We’re looking for it.
  • Norm: That’s for me to know and for you to figure out. (Laughs) By solving this puzzle. So far today, I’ve seen 6 different faces, including yours. So have I seen Cyrus or not?
  • Wheezie: Can you say it again?
  • Norm: Sure. So far today, I’ve seen 6 different faces, including yours. (Laughs)
  • Emmy: 6 different faces……
  • Cassie: Including ours.
  • Emmy: Let’s count our faces.
  • Ord: Zak and Wheezie make 2…….
  • Emmy: Ord makes 3, [points to Max] 4, [points to herself] 5, [points to Cassie] 6. 6 different faces.
  • Cassie: So we’re the only ones you’ve seen today.
  • Emmy: Which means that Cyrus took a different path.
  • Norm: You’re right! [Groans] But now I’ve lost count, so I have to start counting the leaves all over again! Bye bye! 1, 2, 3, 4……
  • Zak: We took the wrong path! What a waste of time!
  • Emmy: This path is very, very narrow. What do you think, Cassie?
  • Cassie: Let’s see. Cyrus is about this wide and this tall. Even that slinky serpent couldn’t go down this path.
  • Ord: So that means he must’ve taken…..
  • Max: This path!
  • Emmy: Come on!
  • [The gang goes down the middle path.]
  • Max: So that's why
  • Ord: To help find the gulls' eggs
  • Cyrus: Uh Oh.
  • Emmy: That’s my detective kit, Cyrus!
  • Cyrus: You’re right. Sorry I never should have taken it without asking you. Here.
  • [Cyrus gives the detective kit back to Emmy and starts taking the eggs.]
  • Cassie: Those aren’t your eggs either, Cyrus!
  • Cyrus: But…..but-but-but!
  • Everyone: Cyrus!
  • Cyrus: Oh, alright.
  • [Cyrus puts the eggs down.]
  • Cyrus: Can’t I have just one itty-bitty egg?
  • Everyone: No!
  • Cyrus: Fools
  • Ord: That was an exciting mystery!
  • Emmy: And we solved it by using the best detective kit of all.
  • Max: Yeah!
  • Emmy: Not that, Max. We used our brains.
  • Max: Hey, Emmy. We never ate our granola bars.
  • Emmy: Oh yeah. Mommy said we could each have a granola bar for a snack.
  • [As Emmy is putting her detective kit away, a crunching sound is heard. She goes over to the table and discovers one of the bars is missing.]
  • Emmy: Hey! What happened to the other granola bar?
  • [Emmy looks towards Max and sees that he has crumbs all around his mouth.]
  • Emmy: Hmm, I think Emmy the detective just solved another case.
  • [The two of them laugh.]
