  • [In the playroom, Emmy is reading her dragon book when Max comes.]
  • Max: Emmy! Emmy! Guess what I got! Come on, guess!
  • Emmy: A frog?
  • Max: Nope. [opens hand to reveal a diecast pickup truck]
  • Emmy: Another truck?
  • Max: For my truck collection. [puts it in a box of trucks] Vroom, vroom! [rolls it into a wall] Score!
  • Emmy: You know, my storybook says dragons collect stuff, too.
  • Max: Like trucks?
  • Emmy: No, treasure. Tons of gold and jewels and rubies and stuff.
  • Max: Wow! I wonder where they keep it all.
  • Emmy: There's an easy way to find out...
  • Emmy and Max:Dragon Land!
  • [They hold the magic dragon scale.]
  • Emmy and Max: I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons in a land apart.
  • [The wallpaper dragons leap off and spin around them; in Dragon Land, Quetzal is ending a day at the School in the Sky.]
  • Quetzal: Adiós, niños. See you mañana.
  • [The dragons start to leave; suddenly, sparkles appear in the doorway to alert Max and Emmy's arrival.]
  • Dragons: Whoa!!!
  • [They tumble to the ground; the kids arrive.]
  • Max: Whoa! Hello, dragons!
  • Zak: Hi, Emmy!
  • Wheezie: Hiya, Maxie!
  • Quetzak: Children, bueno!
  • Max: Hola, Quetzal!
  • Emmy: Nice we came, 'cuz my dragon book has a picture of all this treasure! And we were wondering, where did dragons keep it?
  • Cassie: At the Treasure Trove. Right, Quetzal?
  • Quetzal: Right, Cassie. Come with me, niños.
  • [He opens his big storybook to a page showing a cave full of hidden treasure and activates it with magical dust.]
  • Quetzal: For ages and ages, dragons have stored their treasure in a special cave deep down in the knuckerholes.
  • Emmy: Could we go see it, Quetzal?
  • Zak: Wheezie and I know where everything is in the knuckerholes.
  • [All voice anticipating comments.]
  • Quetzal: I don't see why not. As long as you promise to be careful and put everything back.
  • All: Promise!
  • Quetzal: Bueno! Now listen carefully. I have some important directions for you to follow.
  • [The book shows an image of a huge door blocking the Treasure Trove.]
  • Quetzal: The Treasure Trove is guarded by a magic door. to unlock the door, you must put the jewels in the proper holes.
  • [The shaped holes in the door fill up with appropriate jewels.]
  • Quetzal: First, two red rubies; then, two white pearls; and last, two gold bricks. After you finish, the door will open.
  • All: Wow!
  • [Quetzal gets out a chest from his pouch and opens it to reveal the jewel keys for the door. He hands them out.]
  • Quetzal: Here. Cassie and Emmy, you take the rubies; Max and Ord, you get the pearls; and Zak and Wheezie get...
  • Wheezie: Gold bricks!
  • Emmy: Thanks, Quetzal! Let's go!
  • Quetzal: Uno momento! There's one more thing, and listen carefully. After you open the door, make sure you take the jewels inside with you, so you can open the door from the other side when you're ready to leave.
  • Cassie: Got it!
  • [Changes to everyone outside a knuckerhole.]
  • Zak: Everybody follow us!
  • Wheezie: To the Treasure Trove or bust!
  • [Zak and Wheezie jump in.]
  • Emmy: Are you ready?
  • Cassie and Emmy: [jump in] Yahoo!!
  • Ord: Max! Going up, Max... and Ord going down!!!
  • [They jump in; everyone slides down laughing and shouting.]
  • Zak: This way, everybody! Easyyyyy!!!!!!
  • [Now they bounce down.]
  • Wheezie: Ooh!!! Here comes the best part!!! The big slide!!!!!!
  • [They slide down a slide and fly off; so do the others as they plow into them]
  • Wheezie: Everybody stop!
  • Zak: Now you tell them.
  • Emmy: [gasps] Look!
  • All: Oh!
  • [Up ahead is the door from Quetzal's storybook.]
  • Cassie: The door to the Treasure Trove!
  • [They walk up to it and face the shape holes.]
  • Emmy: Now, what did Quetzal tell us to do?
  • Cassie: First, the red rubies...
  • [She takes the rubies out of her pouch; they place them in the triangle holes.]
  • Emmy: And next...
  • Max: Us, us!
  • Ord: The white pearls! [they fit them in the circle holes]
  • Emmy: And last...
  • Wheezie: Our gold brick, Zaky!
  • [They fit them in the rectangle holes; all of a sudden, the door shakes as they gasp, before it opens wide, and they cheer before running inside.]
  • Emmy: Whoa!
  • Max: Gosh!
  • [Thousands of hidden treasures stand before them.]
  • Cassie: Amazing!
  • Zak: Unbelievable!
  • Emmy: Come on!
  • [They all rush off before Cassie stops them, remembering something.]
  • Cassie: Wait! Wasn't there something else Quetzal told us to do?
  • Emmy: There was?
  • Ord: I don't remember.
  • Max: What was that?
  • Zak: Dunno.
  • [A creaking sound catches them off guard; in front of them, the door closes and locks as they gasp in shock.]
  • Emmy: Oh, no!! The jewels!!
  • Wheezie: Don't worry, we brought the jewels! And they're...ah...outside.
  • Emmy: We were supposed to bring the jewels in here with us, so we could open the door when we want to leave!
  • Max: Emmy, how are we gonna get out?!!
  • Zak: How are we gonna get out? I'll tell you how: WE CAN'T!!! WE'RE LOCKED IN!!!!
  • A voice: Oh dear, oh my!
  • [Suddenly, the magic door which guards the treasure trove, grows eyes, nose, and a mouth and comes to life becoming a talking door. In other words, "The magic door is an entity".]
  • Woody: I am closed up tight. Aren't I?
  • [Everyone gasps.]
  • Max: You talk?
  • Woody: Of course. Pleased to meet you all. I'm Woody. Oh, I wish I could open up for you. I really do.
  • Emmy: Why can't you, Woody?
  • Woody: Well, you see, I can only open when the jewels are in their proper holes.
  • Zak: WE'RE DOOMED! WE'LL BE STUCK IN HERE FOREVER!
  • Emmy: There's gotta be something we can do! Right, Woody?
  • Woody: Oh, there is! There is! I'll give you directions so you can find other jewels that will open me up.
  • All: Oh!
  • Emmy: Where do we start?
  • [Shows the different places that Woody describes.]
  • Woody: You can find two red rubies under the carved dragon head. The white pearls are in the fountain. And the gold bricks are in the big gold treasure chest.
  • [They voice their thanks and fly through the trove.]
  • Ord: This won't be hard. We just have to find the dragon head with pearls, and the treasure chest and the fountain. Right?
  • Cassie: Right, a treasure chest.
  • [They land before a green treasure chest.]
  • Zak: The treasure chest, for your information, has the red rubies.
  • Wheezie: I thought the chest was supposed to be green.
  • Max: What's supposed to be green?
  • Wheezie: Well, green leaves, green peas, green cheese. Open, Sesame!
  • [Zak and Wheezie open the chest to reveal a springing clown head which surprises them.]
  • Ord: That's a funny-looking ruby.
  • Max: [sees a red chest] Maybe they're in this one.
  • [Ord opens it to reveal bubbles which flood all over him; Max laughs.]
  • Max: Guess not!
  • Ord: Does anybody know what we're supposed to do? [shakes the bubbles off]
  • Wheezie: Wait, wait, wait, wait! I remember!
  • All others: What?
  • Wheezie: I remember... I forgot what I remembered.
  • Cassie: I think we mixed up the directions.
  • Emmy: We'd better ask Woody again. Come on!
  • [They fly back to Woody.]
  • Woody: Well, good news I trust?
  • Emmy: Uh, not exactly. Could you please tell us what to do again?
  • Cassie: And this time, we better listen really hard and repeat what you say so we don't forget.
  • Max: But, there's a whole lot to remember. [Ord, Zak & Wheezie nods.]
  • Emmy: Well, what if we split up the remembering?
  • Zak: And each remember part of the directions.
  • Woody: Oh, yes. Oh, what a good idea.
  • Zak, Wheezie, Ord, Max, Emmy & Cassie: Shh!
  • Zak: [Whispering] Quiet.
  • [After a beat...]
  • Woody: Now, someone must find the rubies in the carved dragon head.
  • Cassie and Emmy: We will! The rubies are in the carved dragon head
  • Woody: Who will get the pearls from the fountain?
  • Ord and Max: Us! The pearls are in the fountain.
  • Woody: [to Zak and Wheezie] And you two must be getting the gold bricks from the gold treasure chest.
  • Wheezie: Not green?
  • Zak: Woody said the gold bricks are in the GOLD treasure chest!
  • Woody: Exactly right! Good luck, everybody!
  • [They all split up; cuts to Emmy and Cassie.]
  • Emmy: Where oh where is a dragon head?
  • Cassie: [points at her own head] Right here. [giggles]
  • Emmy: I mean the carved dragon head.
  • [They reach the carved dragon head.]
  • Emmy: Like that one!
  • Cassie: One red ruby for me...
  • Emmy: And one for me makes two.
  • [Cuts to Max and Ord.]
  • Ord: One fountain comin' up!
  • [They stop at a small fountain.]
  • Max: But I don't see any white pearls.
  • Ord: I know, I'm just thirsty. [glugs down some fountain water]
  • Max: Look, look!
  • Ord: What?
  • Max: Isn't that a fountain, too?
  • [Yes indeed, and it has pearls in it.]
  • Max: Pearls in the fountain!
  • Ord: You're a genius, Max!
  • [He gets splashed in the face by the fountain water; they approach the fountain and get the pearls from it. Cuts to Zak and Wheezie.]
  • Wheezie: Eeeny meeny miney mold, find a treasure chest that's gold.
  • [Up ahead are various chests; they center in on the gold one.]
  • Zak: Aha! [they fly down to it]
  • Wheezie: Let's open it!
  • Zak: Wait!
  • [He gets out a safety helmet and puts it on just in case it's a booby trap. They open the chest to reveal the bricks inside.]
  • Zak: We did it!
  • Wheezie: Loooooove it!
  • [They get the bricks; changes to Woody waiting until he sees everyone flying back with their jewels.]
  • Emmy: We found the jewels, Woody! [they land]
  • Max: We can open you up!
  • Woody: Oh, happy days! Now remember, you must put the jewels in their proper holes. First, you put --
  • Emmy: We remember what to do. Ready, Cassie?
  • [One by one they fit their jewels.]
  • Cassie: First, our two red rubies.
  • Emmy: And next...
  • Ord and Max: Two white pearls!
  • Emmy: Great! And last...
  • Zak and Wheezie: Two gold bricks!
  • Woody: Absolutely, positively... CORRECT!
  • [Woody opens with a creak and everyone cheers; they all leave and head home.]
  • Emmy and Max: [voiceover] I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home until next time.
  • [Changes back to the playroom as Max and Emmy arrive home.]
  • Emmy: [sits and gets her dragon book] Can you believe we saw a real, live treasure trove?
  • Max: It was cool! But I still like my treasure better.
  • Emmy: What treasure? [Max gets out his truck collection] You like your trucks better? Why?
  • [Max rolls a truck down the floor, up a block ramp, and into a block castle, knocking it down.]
  • Max: That's why!
  • [Emmy just shakes her head as the scene fades out.]
