Dialogue[]

  • [Emmy enters the playroom.]
  • Emmy: What are you doing, Max?
  • [Max is searching through the toy chest.]
  • Max: Looking for something.
  • [He pulls out a soccer ball and a whistle and blows into it.]
  • Max: It’s soccer time!
  • Emmy: Did you hear that?
  • [A faint lawnmower sound is heard outside the window.]
  • Max: So?
  • [Emmy closes the window.]
  • Emmy: So that sound means we can’t play soccer!
  • Max: Why not?
  • Emmy: ‘Cause dad’s mowing the lawn, and we can’t play on it till he’s done.
  • Max: But I know where we can play.
  • Emmy and Max: Dragon Land!
  • Emmy and Max: I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with Dragons, in a land apart.
  • [Colored Dragons came out of the wall. As they circle around creating a whoosh. As Ord licks a Dragonberry Ice Cream. As a soccer ball lands on top of the ice cream cone. He licks his Soccer ball.]
  • Ord: Huh?
  • [He grumbles so confusingly.]
  • Emmy: Hi. Wanna play soccer with us?
  • Ord: You Betcha.
  • Max: Uh-uh. You can't use your hands in soccer.
  • Ord: Then I'll use my tail.
  • [He puts his cone on the trail. He swings his tail then bounces down the knuckerhole. As Zak and Wheezie jumps up and then lands down into the ground.]
  • Emmy: Hi Zak. Hi Wheezie.
  • Max: Wanna play soccer with us?
  • [He kicks his soccer ball and lands on Zak and Wheezie's neck.]
  • Zak and Wheezie: Yeah!
  • Wheezie: [singsongy voice] LOVE TOO!
  • [They swinged at their tail. While Max tries to kick the ball then falls off, then lands right into the tall grass.]
  • Ord: I'll get it.
  • [He comes right in the green grass and saw something green sitting on the soccer ball.]
  • Ord: [gasps] A dragon frog.
  • [The dragon frog crows at him.]
  • Ord: Huh?
  • [He leaps out of the soccer ball and they looks at Dragon frog.]
  • Emmy: [laughs] I didn’t know frogs sound like roosters in Dragon Land.
  • Zak: They don't?
  • Ord: I wonder why this frog is going "Cock-a-Doodle-Doo".
  • [They heard a rustle again. And saw a little man with a green face. He was sitting on a soccer ball.]
  • Mr. Pop: Uh, Cuz it sounds… FUNNY!!!
  • [The little man shouts hysterically, and threw the ball when Ord looks down. They saw him jumping out of the tall grass and makes a goofy laugh.]
  • Emmy: Who are you?
  • Mr. Pop: Me? My name is Mr—
  • [The little man makes a pop sound with his mouth.]
  • All: Mr Pop?
  • Mr. Pop: Delighted to meet you.
  • [The dragon frog hops away, looking a little bitter.]
  • Emmy: How did you make that frog sound like a rooster?
  • [Max hides behind Emmy’s back.]
  • Mr. Pop: Shhh! Don’t tell anyone, but I did it with this!
  • [he pulls out a funny looking device from his coat.]
  • Mr. Pop: My super, duper Sound Switcher! (Laughs)
  • Ord: How’s it work?
  • Mr. Pop: Simple as pie. Make a funny noise.
  • [Ord pulls out a party noisemaker and blows into it, making a trumpeting sound. Mr. Pop pulls the handle on his device and the sound disappears. When Ord blows into the noisemaker again, it doesn’t sound like anything.]
  • Mr. Pop: I just suck the sound into this itsy bitsy bottle. And then I can put it exactly where I want it to go.
  • [He puts the device under Max’s armpit and pushes the handle.]
  • Max: [Giggles] That tickles.
  • [Whenever Max puts down his right arm, the noisemaker sound is heard.]
  • Max: Cool!
  • Mr. Pop: You haven’t heard anything yet, ladies and gentle-dragons. I have a zillion more where that came from.
  • [He pulls open his jacket, revealing numerous bottles of sounds in pockets.]
  • Mr. Pop: I have good sounds and bad sounds. Happy sounds and sad sounds. Quiet sounds AND LOUD SOUNDS!!!
  • Ord: Wow!
  • Max: Great!
  • Wheezie: I want one of those Sound Switchers!
  • Zak: Me, too.
  • Wheezie: Where can I get one? [Laughs]
  • Mr. Pop: [surprised] What did you say?
  • Wheezie: I said ‘where can I get one?’
  • Mr. Pop: No, no, no, no. After that.
  • Wheezie: Uh…… after that, I just laughed. [Laughs again.]
  • Mr. Pop: That’s it! [Laughs] I gotta have it! How would you like to trade that laugh for one of these genuine, one-of-a-kind, fully guaranteed giggles?
  • [He pulls out a couple bottles containing laughter.]
  • Wheezie: [laughs] thanks, but I like my laugh just the way it is. [Laughs]
  • Mr. Pop: So do I!
  • [Mr. Pop pulls out his Sound Switcher]
  • Zak: (suspicious] Hey! What are you doing?
  • [Wheezie keeps on laughing, not realizing what’s going on, as Mr. Pop sucks her laugh right out of her mouth.]
  • Mr. Pop: Ha! I got your laugh.
  • Wheezie: Got my laugh? You’re so funny.
  • [Wheezie tries laughing again, but nothing comes out.]
  • Wheezie: Huh?
  • Zak: He does have it.
  • Max: Give it back!
  • Mr. Pop: Gotta run!
  • [He sprints like a speed of a race car.]
  • Ord: [gasps]
  • Zak and Wheezie: Huh?
  • [Emmy and Max raced after Mr. Pop. Then lands down on their knee caps. Ord sneaks right after Mr. Pop to grab him, but leaps up.]
  • Wheezie: [shouting] COME BACK WITH MY LAUGH!!!
  • [Mr. Pop pulls up the sound switcher to hear Wheezie's laugh. Zak grabs Mr. Pop's sound switcher to defeat him.]
  • Wheezie: Get him, Zak!
  • Zak: OW! That’s my foot, Wheezie!
  • Wheezie: Pull, Zaky! Pull!
  • Mr. Pop: [strangling then whimpering] L-Let me go. L-L-L-Let me go.
  • (They fall down and land down on the ground.)
  • Zak and Wheezie: Huh? [she pushes the handle.]
  • Mr. Pop's voice: FOOLED YOU! [laughing]
  • Wheezie: [sobbing] Oh no! I'll never get my laugh back.
  • Zak: Yes you will, Wheezie. We just have to find Mr. Pop.
  • [The Dragons and the children heard a moo coming from. A rooster came out the bushes and moos right to his friends.]
  • Max: That rooster sounds like a cow.
  • Emmy: Mr. Pop must’ve switched some of the animals voices around.
  • [The Dragon Frog came in, then nods with a clucking sound.]
  • Wheezie: Yeah. But, how do we find him?
  • Emmy: By following the trailed animals that aren’t making the right sound.
  • Zak: If the frog is a Cock-a-Doodle-Doing.
  • [The Frog crows and then the Rooster moos.]
  • Zak: And the rooster's mooing. Then there must be a cow somewhere.
  • Max: That's goin' ribbit, ribbit. [laughs]
  • Wheezie: Well, what are we waiting for? WE GOTTA FIND THAT COW!
  • [They raced towards the rooster and the frog. Suddenly they heard a croaking sound.]
  • Max: What'd you say, Mr. Dragon Frog?
  • Emmy: That wasn't the Dragon Frog. It came from over there.
  • [They saw the cow eating grass.]
  • Ord: It's the cow.
  • [The cow croaks up for help.]
  • Ord: Let's switch their voices back.
  • Wheezie: Just leave it to Wheezie.
  • [The Rooster looks shocked, she pushes the handle on the Cow mooing sound.]
  • Wheezie: [she pulls the handle on Zak's mouth] Hold this for a minute, Zaky.
  • (Zak was shocked as he heard a moo from his own mouth. As Wheezie pulls up the handle to switch on the Rooster's voice. She pushes the handle on the rooster sound and put it back in the roosters mouth, he crows again, Happily. The Rooster flies out of the cows back. She sucks the sound out of the croaking sound, and pushes it in the frogs mouth. He starts to croak again then jumps out. Wheezie pulls the handle on the Sound Switcher on Zak's mouth, then pushes the cow's mouth inside. She starts to moo again.)
  • Zak: Phew!
  • Ord: Everyone's back to normal. [He pats down her head.]
  • Wheezie: [sadly] Except me. I want my laugh.
  • Emmy: Mrs. Dragon Cow, you know that noisy little man that switched your voice? Did you see which way he went?
  • [She nods to Emmy, then she mooed to the right direction.]
  • Emmy: Thanks. Come on.
  • [They started to continue on. Suddenly, a growling sound came near.]
  • Emmy: What was that?
  • Ord: Ooh. I know that sound. It's uh… Uh… It's uh…
  • Max: A lion.
  • Ord: Yeah, A… Dragon Lion!
  • [He ducks down then covers his ears. Then Max cheers him up.]
  • Emmy: It came from over there.
  • Zak: It's a waterfall.
  • Max: Sounds like a mean one.
  • Wheezie: Mr. Pop must’ve switched the sound.
  • Ord: [stutters] W-w-why would you want a waterfall to sound mean?
  • Emmy: Maybe to keep people from coming close to it.
  • Max: You're right, Emmy. There is a cave behind the waterfall.
  • Emmy: Let's see what's inside.
  • Zak: Eww! Look at all this junk.
  • [He took a trumpet and blows real hard.]
  • Max: It's broken.
  • Ord: This one too.
  • Emmy: [she holds a bell] They're not broken. I bet Mr. Pop took away their sound.
  • [They heard an elephant sound and Mr. Pop was laughing hysterically. They look at Mr. Pop holding a bottle and pops up a cork to hear a goat bleating, while Mr. Pop laughs hysterically. He holds a duck sound and makes Mr Pop laugh.]
  • Wheezie: I WANT MY LAUGH BACK! [Mr. Pop looks at Wheezie] GIVE IT!
  • Mr. Pop: Okay, okay! Keep your scales on. It's right over here. With a hundred other giggles, snickers, and hahahah's. Chitters, chutters, and great guffaws.
  • Wheezie: [gloomed] Aw, we'll never find my laugh and all of those.
  • Zak: Sure we will. There's no other laugh like yours, Wheezie.
  • [Ord looks for Wheezie's laugh, then tries to grab the other bottle. Then Mr. Pop came over angrily.]
  • Mr. Pop: HEY! What's the merchandise?
  • [Ord shockingly looks at the bottle. Then grabs it when the sound bottles suddenly began to fall down on the floor.]
  • Ord: Oh no! Whoa! [He slips his foot on top of the sound bottle and falls down, along with Zak and Wheezie landing down with the box of sounds. They heard Wheezie's laugh.]
  • Wheezie: Hey! I heard my laugh!
  • Zak: There it is!
  • [Wheezie takes out the sound switcher as Zak picks up a bottle.]
  • Zak: Let’s put it back.
  • [Zak puts the bottle into the sound switcher and puts the sound into Wheezie’s mouth. But when she tries to laugh, a trumpet sound comes out.]
  • Mr. Pop: Now that’s funny! [Laughs]
  • Zak: That is not your laugh, Wheeze.
  • Max: I know where that sound goes. In here.
  • [Max picks up the trumpet he found before.]
  • Wheezie: Yeah.
  • [Zak removes the sound from Wheezie’s mouth and puts it into the trumpet. Max blows the trumpet, and it makes the right sound. The gang hears Wheezie’s laugh again.]
  • Zak: I heard your laugh! There!
  • [Zak picks up another bottle, puts it in the gadget and puts the sound into Wheezie’s mouth. However, once again, it is not the right one, as Wheezie lets out a foghorn sound, which makes Mr Pop laugh even harder.]
  • Mr. Pop: Oh, that is so funny, it hurts! [Laughing]
  • Wheezie: [sad] Oh, if I don’t get my laugh back, I’m never gonna laugh again. Ever!
  • Zak: Don’t worry, Wheezie. Your big brother will get your laugh back.
  • [This time, Zak picks up an empty bottle while Mr Pop is still laughing.]
  • Mr. Pop: Oh, I’m laughing so much, it hurts!
  • Zak: Uh, Mr. Pop. I found a great sound for you.
  • Mr. Pop: Really? A funny one? Oh, let me hear it! [Laughs]
  • [As Mr. Pop keeps laughing, Zak uses the sound switcher to remove the laugh from his mouth. Zak takes another sound and puts that into him. When Mr. Pop tries laughing, it sounds just like a donkey.]
  • Mr. Pop: [gasps] My laugh! [Donkey bray]
  • Wheezie: Now you know how it feels to lose your favorite [imitates Mr. Pop’s laugh].
  • Mr. Pop: I sure do. And it feels…..awful.
  • Zak: I’ll give you your laugh back, if you give my sister her laugh back.
  • Mr. Pop: Okay, you win.
  • [He gives Wheezie's laugh to Zak and sucks into her mouth and starts to laughs a little.]
  • Wheezie: Hey! [laughs happily out loud]
  • (He puts Mr. Pop's mouth into his Sound Switcher. He starts to make a goofy laugh again.)
  • Mr. Pop: Ooh, my laugh! [giggles] My wonderful giggly laugh! [giggles] Oh, it's so good to have you back. [giggles]
  • Mr. Pop: Uh, sorry, Wheezie. Friends?
  • [they started to shake hands]
  • Wheezie: Friends.
  • [Max grabs a pink glass, as they heard a raspberry sound. They laugh as Mr. Pop bangs on the carver wood to make the sound bottles shake.]
  • Emmy and Max: I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.
  • Emmy: The lawnmower sound stopped.
  • Max: We can play soccer now.
  • [As Max and Emmy head for the door, a hiccuping sound is heard.]
  • Emmy: Max! Did you hear that?
  • [Max stops walking and turns around.]
  • Max: What?
  • [Emmy points down towards Max’s feet.]
  • Emmy: Mr. Pop must’ve switched your footstep sounds before we left Dragon land.
  • [Max turns his left foot and another hiccuping sound is heard.]
  • Max: Nuh-uh. All that laughing gave me [hiccups] the hiccups.
  • [The two kids laugh as Max hiccups once again.]
