Dialogue[]

  • [At Max and Emmy's house late at night, the secret drawer in the playroom shines. Emmy enters in her pajamas and messy, loose hair.]
  • Emmy: [yawns] Max, come in here.
  • Max: [enters in pajamas with bedhead; he rubs his tired eyes] Mmm... What?
  • Emmy: Someone's calling us to Dragon Land.
  • Max: But it's not even light out.
  • Emmy: [opens the drawer] Must be important. [gets out the magic dragon scale] Grab on.
  • [They hold onto it.]
  • Emmy and Max: I wish, I wish, with all my heart to fly with dragons in a land apart.
  • [They are taken to Dragon Land where it's early morning. No one is around and there's not one sound.]
  • Max: Hello! Where is every --
  • Ord: [appears and puts his hand over Max's mouth] Shh! [whispers] Follow me.
  • [They find Cassie, Zak, and Wheezie sitting on a cliff and listening.]
  • Max: What are you doing?
  • Cassie, Ord, Zak & Wheezie: Shhhhh!
  • Cassie: Listen.
  • [Choir vocals are heard.]
  • Emmy: It's beautiful.
  • Wheezie: Come on! Let's do some Do-Re-Mis with the Do-Re-Mis!
  • Zak: No, Wheezie! They don’t like loud noises. You’ll scare them away.
  • Wheezie: Nah-uh. They won’t fly away. They won’t fly away. They’re songbirds. They love singing!
  • Cassie: Do-re-mis do love to sing, Zak.
  • Zak: I know, but softly.
  • Ord: They’re flying away!
  • Zak: [under his breath] I knew we should’ve been quiet.
  • Wheezie: "Do-Re-Yous! Wait for Do-Re……….Me.
  • Zak: I have an idea, Wheezie. Let’s call them back with a soft lullaby like the one Mom and Dad used to sing to us.
  • Wheezie: Lullaby? Yuck!
  • Cassie: Maybe Zak’s right, Wheezie. The song the Do-Re-Mis make does sound kinda like a lullaby.
  • Zak: Uh huh. And as soon as they hear my lullaby, I’m sure they’ll come back. (Starts singing) Lullaby and goodnight, sweet dreams little Wheezie…….
  • [The singing starts putting Wheezie to sleep. But she immediately wakes up.]
  • Wheezie: Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! I got a better idea! We can do wild bird calls and they’ll think we’re part of their family!
  • Ord: I know how to do a bird call. [Shouting] CALLING ALL BIRDS! CALLING ALL BIRDS!
  • [Emmy giggles at this]
  • Emmy: That’s not how you call birds. You whistle, like this. [Whistles]
  • Cassie: I can whistle.
  • [Cassie tries to whistle, but all that comes out of her mouth is her firebreath.]
  • Cassie: Oops.
  • Zak: But what about my lullaby?
  • Max: I can make duck calls!
  • [Max puts his hand inside his pajama shirt and starts making fart sounds with his armpit.]
  • Wheezie: I just love bird calls. They’re so…..tweety! Come on, Zaky! Tweet, tweet, prrr, tweet, tweet, tweet, prrrrr!
  • Zak: [lamentably] Oh well, since nobody’s listening to me anyways. Tweet…….tweet.
  • Max: Emmy, can we get birds to wake us up in the morning instead of our noisy old alarm clock?
  • Emmy: Let's ask Mom and Dad.
  • Max: But they're still asleep.
  • Emmy: Not for long.
